And Cara broke cover this evening for the first time since her home was destroyed by the fire.

The supermodel was seen leaving The Kit Kat Club theatre in London after starring in her West End show Cabaret.

On Instagram, Cara addressed the blaze that tore through her £5.5million ($7m) home in the early hours of Friday.

She wrote: "My heart is broken today. I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help."

The fate of her two adorable cats was unknown, until she later shared an adorable picture of the pair, writing: "THEY ARE ALIVE!! THANK YOU TO THE FIREFIGHTERS."

It is not currently not clear how the fire started, but it is thought to have begun in a backroom of the property and rapidly spread to the attic, causing part of the roof to collapse.

An emergency call was made at 3.57am local time.

It reportedly took the huge team of firefighters in 13 fire engines over two hours to get the fire under control.

A post to the LAFD website said: "Firefighters arrived to find a four-storey building with fire showing from the second floor.

"It took 40 firefighters 21 minutes to extinguish the fire.

"After firefighters entered the structure to eliminate the remainder of the flames, crews ventilated the building to remove any lingering smoke and conducted a search for any victims.

"No reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation."

The 31-year-old British supermodel-turned-actress was not staying at the residence at the time.

An officer from the Los Angeles Police Department told Page Six that there was "nothing to suggest that it was criminal activity".

The LAPD added: "There is no indication of an arson or criminal investigation right now."

Delevingne gave Architectural Digest a tour of her Los Angeles home in 2021, which she called her "adult playhouse".

Her house includes a ball pit, projector screen, trampolines and a pool.

Cara's representatives have been approached for comment.

The catwalk star is currently in London, where she has made her stage debut as Sally Bowles in the award-winning production Cabaret.

It is a dream role for Cara who auditioned for and won the coveted part previously played by A-listers including Liza Minnelli and DameJudi Dench.

She said recently: "There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role.

"I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End.

"I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production."

The actress, born in Hammersmith, West London, has starred in several films including Paper Towns,Suicide Squadand Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

Cara's return to the stage follows a long battle to get back on her feet after revealing she hit rock bottom in September 2022.

Friends of the celeb told The Sun this week how concerned they had been when photos emerged of Cara smoking a pipe and walking around looking dishevelled.

The sources said: "We are all incredibly concerned. The situation has been building for a few weeks now and Cara’s family is involved.

"There is talk of staging some kind of intervention and making sure Cara gets the help she may well need.

"She has been burning the candle at both ends of late, and it's clearly taking its toll."

Cara has described this as a wake-up call for her.

She checked herself into a rehab programme and began a 12-step programme to break herself free of drinking and drugs.

She said: "Before, I was always into the quick fix of healing, going to a week-long retreat or to a course for trauma, say, and that helped for a minute, but it didn't ever really get to the nitty-gritty, the deeper stuff.

"This time I realised that a 12-step treatment was the best thing, and it was about not being ashamed of that."
