Remove the saucepan from the heat, and stir in the baking soda, butter, and vanilla.

The baking soda will cause the mixture to expand and foam slightly.

As the mixture cools, it hardens. So you will want to move quickly.

Spray the candy mold with the cooking spray.

Spoon the mixture into the candy molds. It doesn't have to be pretty, just filled.

If you would like you can skip the candy molds, and pour the mixture directly onto a silicone baking mat.

Let the candy cool for about 20 minutes.

To remove the candy from the molds, turn the mold upside down and tap the back, or twist the mold till the candies drop out.

If you poured the candy, you can break the sheet into small pieces using a meat pounder.

Our Baking Essential List:

  • For baking casseroles, we use Glass Baking Dishes. I especially like the dishes with lids so leftovers can be transferred straight to the fridge.
  • Silicone Kitchenware is my favorite because they don't scratch my cookware and is easy to clean!
  • A Glass Cutting Board is a must to prepare all of those ingredients. We even keep ours on our counter at all times.
  • This Knife Set will also become your favorite! They cut beautifully, and with the hollow design of the knife, food doesn't stick to the blade.
